Our Story

The Barn at Beal has a rich history, originally built as a cart shed and barn in the early 19th century. In 2008, it was transformed into a coffee shop and restaurant, making the most of its stunning coastal location. Then, in 2022, Jackie took the reins, turning The Barn at Beal into a woman-run, family-led business with a fresh vision. Today, it’s a place where locals and visitors alike come together to enjoy great food, warm hospitality, and the breathtaking views over to Holy Island.

Nestled on the breathtaking Northumberland coast, just off the causeway to Holy Island, our restaurant is a place where good food, great company, and stunning views come together.
